Yeah, life is all relative. But some people don't know how good they've got it.
Contestant One: Terri Carlin, of Knoxville, Tenn. Ms. Carlin, on the lookout for the welfare of her fellow Americans, has filed a class action lawsuit regarding that whole incident with Justin, Janet, and That Nipple. According to her, "As a direct and proximate result of the broadcast of the acts, [Carlin] and millions of others saw the acts and were caused to suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." Naturally, the suit requests billions of dollars in damages.
Contestant Two: The population of Zimbabwe. A very good article in today's NYT* details how the country's medical system is falling to pieces--no medicine, few hospitals, and almost no doctors. According to one study, the nation of 11.6 million now has fewer than 900 doctors. That's 1 doctor for every 13,500 people. Even basic supplies such as H.I.V. test kits or anesthesia simply aren't available. "[In] the space of six months last year, half of Harare's kidney-dialysis patients died, all because the government did not spend its scarce foreign currency to buy catheters for blood-cleansing equipment."
After an article like that, Ms. Carlin's "outrage and anger" seem sadly misguided.
*Subscription required but very worth it.
Even without contestant #2, it seems misguided.
Or... wait. I think I mean stupid, not misguided. When are people going to get over this?

Reading about contestant #1 has left me angered and outraged. Now I don't want to piss anyone else off, but I may have to sue her.

Perhaps I should sue CNN for exposing me to Janet's boob. On the other hand, I should praise the network for showing the moveon.org ad; had I not tuned in to CNN to see the ad, I would have seen Janet's boob instead. I would have been scarred for life and coulda...sued...the network. Oh, shit. There goes my Ferrari.
I wonder what Zimbabwe thinks about Janet's boob.

Speaking of frivolous lawsuits...

I'm looking into filing a lawsuit against Janet Jackson's breast on behalf of Kid Rock's shirt and Nelly's crotch. They did their best to call attention to themselves, but the media has been completely focused on the breast's antics, causing them great anguish and pain.
